American-made, Solid Wood Futon Frame

What’s So Great about This Futon Frame Compared to Others?

Everything! This American-made Solid wood futon frame is: Built to last, Chemical-free, EZ to Assemble and disassemble, has a Great Warranty, is Sustainably Produced and is Cheaper than most “Cheap” Imports.  Plus patented grooving in the arms that make this a 4 position frame with built in seat lock, bed lock and 2 super-comfortable lounging positions.

AND it is much cheaper to ship than our Mountain Series Super Decks because of the “knock down” (KD) design.  In addition to saving money on shipping, this solid wood futon frame can be beneficial for many reasons.  It ships in two compact boxes, so getting it inside your space, or even transporting from one location to another in a small car, is much easier than if the frame decks were mostly assembled.  Thus one person can move the whole frame and a larger vehicle/truck/van is not needed.  Another great benefit is that if one part ever does break, it is easy to repair which will guarantee many years of good use.

Compare this solid wood futon frame to any other in terms of price, features, warranty and serviceability and we thinks you won’t find one better – in America or anywhere in the world.  But if you want something even better, without the assembly AND front-converting….for the same price, then check out our Moutain Series super-deck futon frame .

So WHAT EXACTLY is the Difference Between the Two?   Both frames use the same arms (the 2 sides) and these ship fully assembled, so nothing different there  The big difference then is in the Seat and Back deck construction.  As you can see in the photos, the KD style has 5 longs boards (4 + 1) for the seat and back decks whereas the Super-Decks are completely assembled with shorter boards running top to bottom.  The end result is a much bigger box for the Super-Decks to hold both the seat deck and back deck (6″ x 32″ x 76″ vs. 5″x 11″x 76″ for the KD body). The four corners of the Crazy Time wheel represent the four bonus games: Coin Flip, Pachinko, Cash Hunt, and Crazy Time. These bonus games give players the opportunity to win big payouts or activate multiplier effects, which are randomly generated by a computer algorithm in the studio. The Super-Decks also have our patented front conversion feature to make going from a bed to a couch much easier.

Sizes Available

The Mountain KD version is ONLY available in a Full Size couch style.  Be sure to check out our other solid wood futon frame line, our Mountain Series Super Decks (super-deck futon frame) which are available in every size:  Chair, Twin Chair, Twin Lounger, Loveseat, Loveseat Lounger, Queen Loveseat, Queen Lounger, Full size couch and Queen size couch.

This Full Size Futon can be ordered Unfinished (with nothing at all applied to it), OR it can be ordered with a Water Based Stain in Golden Oak Color. Of course, we use a LOW VOC, water-based stain, and the staining process will add some additional time to your order vs. unfinished.

Mattress Considerations

With this frame, you have many options. The only thing we recommend staying away from (if you can help it) is a very thin mattress. It’s hard to tell what’s considered “thin” because the range of what’s available varies so much. Most futon sets sold at Big Box stores come with a 6-7 inch futon mattress. We hear they are very uncomfortable, if not right away, shortly after owning and using it. Our thinnest is an 8-Inch Traditional Style Futon Mattress, and we sell mostly 9-Inch and 10-Inch with this frame.
