This American-made futon frame is our most modest in design and price, but what a performer! Its simplified structure makes it so versatile. Lightweight and Arm-less, this frame operates easily with a swing-under conversion and offers multiple positions for optimal comfort. This frame is built with Premium Southern Yellow Pine and comes with a 10-Year warranty. It sits 3 inches off of the ground when laid out, and has 3 lounge settings. Because it ships in one compact box, shipping damage is very rare, and manageability is easy. Includes everything needed for Easy Assembly. This product is 100% Clean Unfinished Wood with NO Chemicals.

What’s So Great about This Futon Frame Compared to Others?

This Futon Frame is ideal for those working with a tiny space. Comparable to our Trifecta Futon Frame, this is the Most Compact Frame we make. In a Full Size, it only requires 54 Inches from left to right, while a Twin only takes up 38 Inches of Space (left to right). Unlike most other futon frames, this one is designed to utilize the length of a mattress verses the width, so you can easily squeeze it into compact spaces. Most other Traditional Style Futon Frames are long, like a couch, taking up a lot of valuable space. This one, in contrast, is a great solution for underneath loft beds, in tight corners, in studio apartments, and we’ve even seen people use them in RV’s and campers. Because it has no protruding sides or arms, it is truly as compact as the mattress size, no overhang or excess to deal with.  Mattress Considerations

The Ultralight frame is naturally lightweight, hence the name. Its modest design, plus the fact that it is a trifold style futon frame, lends itself to a lighter mattress. Because the mattress has to be able to fold easily into 3 sections (like the frame does), an innerspring mattress or a very firm/dense mattress won’t work with this frame. The classic style futon mattresses seem to work best for this frame due to their natural flexibility. We recommend using an 8 Inch mattress if the use is infrequent, and the 9 Inch if used often. The 8 Inch will bend effortlessly, where the 9 Inch needs a little coaxing, but is plusher.
