Our Solid Oak Platform Bed frame, the core of our new, sustainably-produced Oak bedroom line, is a timeless classic – perfect for any bedroom, any age, any decor.  Hand made of premium Pennsylvania Red Oak (the best Oak in the world), this eco-friendly bed frame is built to last a lifetime and now is part of a complete collection!

Wait, we do but…they don’t!  If you have been searching for a precision crafted, solid oak platform bed frame that is American made, will endure the test of time and one that has matching/coordinating pieces that you can add to, at a price that can’t be beat, look no further.  This frame is constructed of thick, SOLID oak: 7/8″ on the rails and 1 1/8″ on feet/posts.

High bed, No Box Spring, Lots of Storage Space Below

Like all of our platform beds, this frame does not require the use of a foundation or box spring and we use Southern Yellow Pine bed slats for their strength to create a strong platform for your mattress. Full and Queen sizes have a full-length mid-support and the King bed has two.  The 12 bed slats provide solid support but allow room for good air circulation. The rail height is 15 Inches while the actual platform height is 14″ providing a 1″ recessed area for your futon or mattress to drop into. The under-bed clearance is 10.5 Inches below the rail, so lots of storage space is available below (for our underbed drawers on wheels if you wish).

E-Z Assembly/Move, Great Warranty

Comes ready to assemble in two compact boxes, no tools required.  E-Z Assembly/Disassembly and this compact design also make this frame super EZ-to-Move. As with all of our solid wood bedroom furniture, you also get a 12 Year, direct-from-manufacturer Warranty (that would be us).

Clean, Natural and Chemical-Free!

For those experiencing Chemical Sensitivity, or for those who are just generally concerned about introducing toxins into your personal space, you can rest assured that there are NO HARMFUL CHEMICALS (absolutely none) in this product! This is 100% clean and clear, natural, untreated unfinished wood!

Optional Linseed Oil Finish

Our hand-rubbed Linseed Oil finish really brings out the beauty and color of the Oak, thus providing a simple, yet eco-friendly finish for your frame.

Because the oil fills the pores of the wood, finger prints and day-to-day dirt are less likely to be absorbed into the wood in comparison to unfinished wood. NOTE: Linseed Oil is NOT the same as a Lacquered/Glossy Finish; instead it is oil that leaves a slightly silky feel to natural untreated wood. Boiled linseed oil is not 100% organic and does contains some drying agents so it may not be suitable for everyone with chemical sensitivities but most people are very happy with this mostly natural oil finish (flax seed by origin). You decide what works best for you!
