Our Solid Wood Platform Bed has been a perennial best seller for decades. This amazingly simple bed is Super Strong, Super EZ to Assemble and Super EZ to move. Handmade of premium Southern Yellow Pine (the strongest pine out there), this Eco-friendly bed frame is built to last a lifetime.

Wait, we do but…they don’t!  If you have been searching for a precision crafted, solid wood platform bed frame that is American made, will endure the test of time and one that has matching/coordinating pieces that you can add to, at a price that can’t be beat, look no further.

High bed, No Box Spring, Lots of Storage Space Below

Like all of our solid wood platform beds, this frame does not require the use of a foundation or box spring and we use Southern Yellow Pine bed slats for their strength to create a strong platform for your mattress. Full and Queen sizes have a full-length mid-support and the King bed has two.  The 12 bed slats provide solid support but allow room for good air circulation. The rail height is 15 Inches and the slats are flush with the top of the side rails. The under-bed clearance is 10.5 Inches below the rail, so lots of storage space is available below (for our under bed drawers or a trundle if you wish).

Slat Upgrade Options

We offer Slat Upgrades on all of our Platform Beds. (NOTE: there is an extra charge, and the upgrade cannot be ordered directly on line; Call our retail store to help you with this option.)  The Slats on our pine platform bed are 3.25 Inches apart.  Some mattresses these days require the spacing to be less, so we offer an upgrade to increase the number of slats from 12 to 18 and to the reduce the spacing between the slats down to 1.5 Inches. This allows you to skip finding or using a solid foundation (recommended by many mattress warranties), and most people like the breath-ability a solid wood platform bed provides. The price increase is not much, and the upgrade is usually well worth it.

This is 100% clean and clear, natural, untreated unfinished wood!  No glue, nothing but Solid Wood.

Comes ready to assemble in two compact boxes, no tools required.  E-Z Assembly/Disassembly and this compact design also make this frame super EZ-to-Move. As with all of our solid wood bedroom furniture, you also get a 12 Year, direct-from-manufacturer Warranty (that would be us).
